LO4: Audience feedback through a screen test

Image
When gathering feedback for our short film we created a questionnaire using Survey Monkey, this is a platform that people can submit answers to your questions and then the answers get emailed to the creator of the  questionnaire. Using the feedback which we got we will the use this to add and strengthen the quality of the film using the primary source of feedback from the screen test which we carried out. In the editing of the short film we will need to improve the flow of the film, so it looks more professional and is smooth, as in some parts of the film there is parts where the dialouge then jumps to a sudden silence in the mirror scene. I will also need to either refill or edit the some parts of the sounds in the film. As part of the feedback some of the audio wasn't clear therefore some of the script isn't clear for the audience for understand, therefore I will enhance the audio, to make the film more professional and so the sound is clear. A part in the film the audio w...

LO3: Audio editing and dubbing techniques

First of all you need to select the full clip, once you do this a white box will appear around both (this means that the audio and clip you have chosen is linked). If you want to the unlink your audio and chose a different audio then you need to right click onto the clip.  After you have right clicked a drop down menu will appear, to unlink the audio you need to scroll down the menu then press onto unlink, I did this because I wanted to get rid of the background audio since there was roadworks happening and people shouting where we were filming. Furthermore, after you have unlinked the audio there shouldn't be a white box around both of the    clip and audio and there should just only be box around the clip.  Once you have unlinked the audio from the clip you then need to click on the audio you want to delete and then either right click and press cut or press the backspace button on your keyboard. This would then clear the audio from the ed...

LO3: Editing footage with special effects

Image
During the editing of the scene we have had to slice the footage into 3 separate sections to then be able to further add a slow motion shot in the scene to help add to the atmosphere of the short film. From doing this it means that the audience will be able to identify the genre of the short film and the storyline that is occurring. To add special effects to the scene we have added the special effects of a slow motion shot of the guy looking at the girl, this adds a more intense and a 'romantic' feeling to the short film. This has been done because it adds to the classic scene of when the first cross over to be dramatic in other short films, this adds a classic touch to the short film and makes it seem more professional.  We decided to slow the clip down by 50% to make the scene have a more dramatic and intense atmosphere to the scene. This scene needs to be more intense because it needs to create a dramatic feel to add to the storyline of the guy liking the girl and the gir...
